A passion for languages, especially German, is the leitmotif of Alessandra’s education and career. After graduating from the “Daniele Crespi” high school in Busto Arsizio and obtaining two honors degrees in Linguistic Sciences and in Foreign Languages and Literature from the Catholic University of Milan, she continued to pursue her interest in translation by taking the postgraduate course “Specialist Terminology and Translation Services”, also at the Catholic University of Milan.

With languages as her chosen career path, Alessandra began her professional life working as a language teacher – in English at the languages unit set up by Milan City Council for its employees, in German at the “Alessandro Manzoni” civic school complex – and as a professional reviewer of translations from English, German and French into Italian and vice versa with several translation agencies (Aglatech14, Landoor and Arkadia Translations). In 2021, she joined the Dotwords team as a senior project manager.

Alessandra enjoys watching original-language movies and TV series (especially in German!) and shopping at flea markets.
